Sassoeiros Primary School

Remodelling and expansion of an existing primary school complex, awarded first prize in a municipal competition. The intervention reorganises the campus around a clear pedagogical axis while keeping the existing footprint as a memory of the original school.

A restrained palette of exposed concrete, white render and timber joinery establishes a contemplative learning environment proportioned to the child.
